Feather

A Rhapsody on Eight Images

The Supreme Ancestors

Big Momma + Big Poppa
playing Hide n Seek
Awakening to the Cry
Allee Allee Out n Free

There once was a Woman
who was both her own mother
and her own daughter.

Little Sister awoke before Dawn
the Day of the Spring Festival.

She had dreamed of
the mountains of her homeland,
the moon lake - high in the hills.

She had found herself alone,
woods whispering with wind,
gently calm, brook song....

There once was a Man
who was both his own father
and his own son.

Then, Thunder Booming,
her Brother appeared before Her,
arousing awe,
with the furry feather
of some unknown and fabulous fowl
he held before him.

The Supreme Ancestors
Big Momma + Big Poppa
The Messengers of Love

The Stallion of Eternity
Mounting the Mare of Time

Assembled Before the Altar
the Basket is Full of Fruit,
the Sacrifice Draws Blood.

A Sign! A Sign!

And the furry feather
flies before them,

ascending,

full-grown,

the Winged Horse,

flying Infinite Space,

Immortal Time.
