Ray O. Sims

A background in engineering, business, marketing, and property management prepared Ray to author multiple compilations of local community and family history. Writing the genealogy of his own family, which settled in the Willamette Valley in the late 1880's, sharpened Ray's sense to the value and importance of history and recording the past. At age 82, he is active in community affairs, and Ray still finds spare time to write about the past.

Energized by a powerful positive vision, Ray is a skilled writer and a dynamic thinker. His books offer meaningful clues into the stories that surround us and the roots from which they came. His works direct our interest and attention to the preservation of history.
